A small increase in ticket price now includes a $5 contribution directly towards the ongoing care and wellbeing of the much-loved animals at Marnong Estate’s Petting Zoo.
Check In Before to the Viridian Greenvale – Petting Zoo
Please check in at our check in station on arrival, details to be advised over email closer to the time, to collect your wristbands, food vouchers, and camel passes. This must be done before your ticketed session time to help keep the Viridian Greenvale – Petting Zoo entry line moving quickly.
Check-in opens from 10am, and you’re welcome to use your food vouchers straight away if you’d like to enjoy a barista made coffee from our Coffee Cart before your Petting Zoo session.
Meet the Animals – A Hands-On Farm Experience
At the heart of this experience is the Viridian Greenvale Petting Zoo itself — a place where curious goats, gentle chickens and friendly farm animals are ready to greet you. Children can enjoy a hands-on interaction while adults soak in the joy of simple, feel-good moments.
After exploring the aviary, you’ll have the opportunity to feed the animals with a coin or tap donation. All proceeds go directly to Second Chance Animal Rescue, a local organisation committed to helping animals find their forever homes.
This isn’t just a visit — it’s an experience they’ll be talking about long after the day is done.
Your ticket includes entry to the Viridian Greenvale – Petting Zoo at Marnong Estate at your selected session time:
- 11:00am – 12:30pm
- 11:45am – 1:15pm
- 12:30pm – 2:00pm
You will only be able to enter the zoo at your allocated time. For the comfort and enjoyment of all guests—and to ensure everyone can enjoy the same experience—you will be asked to leave the Viridian Greenvale Petting Zoo once your session time concludes. Please prioritise your interactions with the animals accordingly.
Relax on the Lawn – Music, Food Stations & Macedon Views
We invite you to linger after your session. Spread out a picnic rug, enjoy live music, and take in sweeping views of the Macedon Ranges.
Every adult ticket comes with a $10 food voucher, redeemable towards a lamb roll with salsa verde from our spit, a cheeseburger that is fresh off the grill or for an Italian sausage with caponata in a roll.
Vista – Pizza Al Taglio
Don’t miss a stop at Vista – our Italian Street Kitchen, where you can order a slice of authentic pizza al taglio (Roman-style pizza by the cut). Italian food freshly prepared and served from street kitchen near The Main Lawn, it’s perfect to enjoy with a glass of estate wine in hand while the kids roll down the hills nearby.
Whether it’s something warm from the fryer or a refreshing beverage, there’s something for everyone to enjoy across the lawn.

Please Note:
Safety
Children must always remain with a parent or guardian.
Please stay within designated event areas and arrive early to avoid missing your allocated session. Queues are expected for activities, food and beverages.
Always follow directions from Marnong Estate staff and Pet Attendants and treat them with respect and courtesy.
First Aid
Please alert Marnong Estate staff of any incident. All security and event supervisors are trained in first aid.
Accessibility
Wheelchair access (Food & Live Music): The best entrance is via the top carpark, using the footpath between The Woolshed and Reception.
Petting Zoo terrain: Due to the working farm and paddock location, The Petting Zoo area is unfortunately not wheelchair-friendly.

BYO picnic rugs/blankets only. Seating is available in various areas.
Marnong Estate is fully licensed with on-site food and wine. No outside food or drinks are permitted; dietary options are available.
Prohibited Items & Activities
No pets, ball games, kites, bikes, scooters, or similar items.
What to Wear
Dress for the weather. Melbourne in October can be unpredictable — please come prepared with sun hats, jackets, and suitable footwear for all conditions.
Extreme Weather
In the event of extreme weather, ticket holders will be notified by 10:00am the day prior via email if the event is cancelled.
