The Woolshed
Inspired by the vibrant birdlife at Marnong Estate—from our roaming peacocks and friendly chickens to the Australian birds in our aviary—this workshop is designed for children aged 5-12 years to explore their creativity in a fun and interactive way.
This is a self-guided session, allowing kids to work at their own pace. They can take breaks while painting to wander the estate and collect natural treasures like twigs, feathers, and straw to personalise their birdhouse, creating a cozy welcome for their new bird visitors.
✨ Bonus Experience: Towards the end of the session, our team will take those interested on a special visit to our aviary to meet some of our resident birds up close.

Wanting To Grab A Bite To Eat?
BYO picnic rug* and find the perfect spot on The Main Lawn! You will be able to QR code order, then pick up your food from Caffè Vista on the day so that you can enjoy some Italian street food, including children friendly chicken nuggets and chips.
Please note
All children attending must have a supervising adult present for the entire duration of the event.
This activity is recommended for children 5-12 years old.
Please bring an art smock or wear old clothes as the workshop will involve painting.
Please respect the estate’s animals, be quiet, kind and do not feed them as they have a great diet already catered for them by their Pet attendant team!
This is a self-guided class, with a two-hour duration for everyone to travel at their own pace. You arrive to find everything that you need and are welcome to start or finish however feels best on the day for you.
